Super Duplex Steel Tubing generally consists of nearly 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3-4% molybdenum, and trace amounts of nitrogen and manganese. It has extraordinary resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Its mechanical characteristics comprise high tensile strength of approximately 800 MPa, yield strength of 550 MPa, and good elongation and impact toughness even in sub-zero temperatures. The metallurgical balanced dual-phase microstructure (austenite and ferrite) provides it with even better structural integrity, so it is appropriate for heavy industrial applications that require high pressure and corrosive conditions.
