Stainless Steel 347 and 347H are chromium (17–20%), nickel (9–13%), columbium (niobium) containing stabilized austenitic stainless steels with high resistance to intergranular corrosion. 347H contains more carbon (0.04–0.10%) than 347 with enhanced high-temperature strength. Standard mechanical properties consist of tensile strength of 515 MPa (minimum), yield strength of 205 MPa (minimum), and elongation of 35%. These alloys exhibit strength and corrosion resistance in even high-temperature conditions, and thus they are best suited for applications that involve welded tubing with requirements of endurance and heat stability under stress.
