Stainless Steel 347/347H Heat Exchanger Tubing is composed of Chromium (17–19%), Nickel (9–13%), and Columbium/Tantalum (Nb + Ta ≥ 10xC) for stabilization. SS 347H has a higher Carbon content (0.04–0.10%) compared to SS 347 (≤0.08%), which enhances its creep strength. These tubes typically boast a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. They demonstrate excellent mechanical stability, oxidation resistance up to 870°C, and good weldability. The stabilized composition reduces carbide precipitation, ensuring long-lasting performance in high-pressure and high-temperature applications like boilers, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
