Stainless Steel 347 and 347H EFW Pipes are stabilised austenitic stainless steels that carry chromium (17–20%), nickel (9–13%), and columbium (niobium). Type 347H is a high-carbon variant, providing greater creep strength at high temperatures. These pipes have very good tensile strength (at least 515 MPa), yield strength (at least 205 MPa), and elongation (35% minimum). The materials have greater resistance to intergranular corrosion even after being subjected to high temperature. The inclusion of niobium improves stabilization, so they are best for applications involving frequent thermal cycling and exposure to corrosive compounds.
