Stainless Steel 321 and 321H are titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steels with superior resistance to intergranular corrosion. Their typical composition comprises: Chromium 17–19%, Nickel 9–12%, Titanium ≥5x(C+N), and up to 0.08% Carbon for 321 and 0.10% for 321H. These steels possess tensile strength of 515 MPa (min), yield strength of 205 MPa (min), and elongation of 35% (min). 321H is superior in high-temperature strength because it contains more carbon. Electropolishing provides corrosion resistance, surface smoothness, and cleanliness, which makes them suitable for hygienic and corrosive conditions.
