SS 317 contains up to 0.08% carbon, while SS 317L is capped at 0.03%, minimizing the risk of carbide precipitation during welding. These tubes deliver a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 35–40%. Their seamless or welded design ensures excellent pressure resistance, thermal conductivity, and structural integrity—making them perfect for continuous operation in highly corrosive heat exchanger systems.
