Stainless Steel 310 and 310S Instrumentation Tubing mainly comprise high chromium (24–26%) and nickel (19–22%) content, which offers excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance. The 310S composition has a lower carbon content compared to 310, offering increased weldability and reduced carbide precipitation. These alloys have good mechanical properties such as high tensile strength, ductility, and excellent resistance to thermal fatigue. Both grades retain stability and strength at high temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F) and find themselves well-suited for tough industrial environments requiring rugged, high-performance tubing.
