Mechanically, SS 304L possesses high strength and ductility with a minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa and yield strength of 170 MPa. Its elongation is nearly 35%, proving good formability. All these features make it highly suitable for uses that necessitate resistance against atmospheric corrosion, high strength, and ease of welding and fabrication.
