This special composition offers superior strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance. Its mechanical properties are tensile strength of up to 1100 MPa, yield strength around 1000 MPa, and good toughness even at sub-zero temperatures. The material is also renowned for its superior fatigue resistance and moderate ductility and hence is ideal for high-stress applications after suitable heat treatment.
