Welded Inconel tubing contains mainly nickel (in excess of 70%), along with additions of chromium, iron, molybdenum, and minor elements like titanium and niobium. This makes it resistant to exceptional levels of oxidation, corrosion, and high-temperature conditions. Mechanically, Inconel tubing has a tensile strength of more than 750 MPa and yield strength of more than 300 MPa, based on grade and condition. It maintains its mechanical structure under extreme heat stress and pressure, making it appropriate for heavy-duty use in demanding conditions.
