Duplex Steel Tubing S31803 is made up of roughly 22% Chromium, 5–6.5% Nickel, and 3–3.5% Molybdenum, with Iron making up the rest, along with trace amounts of Nitrogen and Manganese. This well-balanced duplex microstructure combines both austenitic and ferritic characteristics. It boasts a high tensile strength ranging from 620 to 880 MPa, a yield strength of about 450 MPa, and an elongation of around 25%. S31803 is highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. It also offers good weldability, fatigue strength, and thermal conductivity, making it perfect for critical applications in aggressive, chloride-rich environments.
