90% copper and 10% nickel (Cu-Ni 90/10) or 70% copper and 30% nickel (Cu-Ni 70/30) make up copper nickel welded tubing. Tiny amounts of iron and manganese are added for strength and corrosion resistance. These tubes have outstanding ductility and formability, with tensile strengths ranging from 300 to 520 MPa, yield strengths between 100 and 150 MPa, and elongation above 30%. In addition to having exceptional weldability, thermal conductivity, and mechanical stability under high-temperature and high-pressure circumstances, they also demonstrate exceptional resistance to saltwater corrosion, biofouling, and erosion.
