ASTM A335 Gr P22 Seamless Pipes contain Chromium (1.9–2.6%) and Molybdenum (0.87–1.13%) as the major alloying elements, along with Carbon, Manganese, Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon in minor amounts. These pipes made of alloy steel contain very good mechanical properties, such as a minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa. They also contain good hardness, high creep strength, and excellent resistance to oxidation and thermal stress, which makes them ideal for applications in elevated temperature.
