Alloy Steel T23 Tubing is a low-alloy ferritic steel primarily made up of Chromium (1.9–2.6%), Molybdenum (0.05–0.3%), Tungsten (1.45–1.75%), along with Vanadium, Niobium, and small amounts of Nitrogen and Boron. These elements work together to significantly boost high-temperature strength, creep resistance, and oxidation resistance. The tubing boasts a tensile strength ranging from 510 to 660 MPa, a yield strength of about 400 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 20%. T23 undergoes heat treatment (normalization and tempering) to enhance its microstructural stability, weldability, and long-term resistance to thermal fatigue, making it an excellent choice for supercritical and ultra-supercritical boiler and piping systems.
