Stainless Steel 316Ti Electropolished Pipes consist of Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (10–14%), Molybdenum (2–3%), and Titanium (0.5%), the base metal being Iron. The addition of titanium content provides resistance against intergranular corrosion, particularly after welding. The pipes have good mechanical properties with tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Surface smoothness is improved by the electropolishing process, providing lower contamination and corrosion hazards. The alloy is suitable for applications in high temperature and corrosive conditions to provide long service life, stability, and reliability for use in different industrial and sanitary systems.
