Super Duplex Steel Welded Pipes mainly consist of around 22-25% chromium, 4-6% nickel, 3-5% molybdenum, and trace amounts of nitrogen and other constituents. Such a composition gives a remarkable combination of austenitic and ferritic microstructures and hence superior mechanical properties. These pipes have high tensile strength, approximately 690-850 MPa, excellent yield strength and elongation. Also, their superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting renders them suitable for severe environments, with toughness being coupled by excellent weldability and durability.
