Stainless Steel 310 and 310S Electropolished Tubes consist mainly of chromium (24–26%), nickel (19–22%), iron, and small traces of manganese, silicon, and carbon. These alloys exhibit excellent resistance to corrosion and high-temperature tensile strength. The mechanical characteristics consist of a tensile strength of about 520 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. The 310S grade has lower carbon levels, improved weldability, and a decrease in carbide precipitation, which is useful for high-temperature service and welding applications.
